Ranchi. The bodies of two youths have been recovered from a pit on Thursday in Tatsilway area of Ranchi. Both the youths have been identified as Sandeep Sahu and Gopal Sahu of Gumla district. There was also a bike in the pit. The police have also recovered a revolver while taking out the bodies from the pit. Both of them died in an accident or they have been killed and thrown into the pit, it has not been cleared. The police is investigating the case. Local people informed the police after seeing two youths fell in a pit built for road construction between Ara Gate and Senatorium in Tatisilway police station area.
A large number of people gathered as soon as the information was received about the incident. Initially it was believed that both the youths must have been riding on the bike and would have died due to unbalanced and falling into a deep pit. When the police recovered the revolver from the spot, the matter got entangled.
Pictures of youths were sent to police stations in Ranchi and nearby districts. The bodies of both were identified in the afternoon. Both the youths were residents of Darha village under Sisai police station in Gumla district. It is being investigated whether the youth have a criminal record or not. In this regard, the police of Gumla district have been requested to provide details.
The family members of the youth have also reached Ranchi after receiving information about the incident. Police is also trying to get information from them. Ranchi headquarters DSP Amar Kumar Pandey said that the bodies of two youths have been recovered from the pit. A motorcycle and a weapon have also been found on the spot. The case is being investigated.
