Jaipur. Today in the series of net-theat programs, Rang Mastane Sanstha, written by renowned film and play writer Vibhanshu Vaibhav and directed by Rajasthan’s iconic youth director Abhishek Mudgal, is based on the life story of Maharathi Karna.
Essence of Natak Maharathi – The play is based on the life of Maharathi Surya, son of Karna, this play also shows the present situation, how even today people misbehave with the people of backward society. In the play, Arjuna is declared the best archer of Trilok in Trikal by Dronacharya in the state’s battlefield. To whom Karna opposes but he is not allowed to demonstrate his skills in the battlefield and is humiliated by Guru Drona by calling him Shudra and lowly. Duryadhana appears in favor of Karna and declares him the king of Angrajya. But despite this, he is not allowed to display his masculine power. This shows that even today caste is considered superior and not skill. Karna’s struggles are further shown in the play, how Karna is suppressed by Duryadhan under his favor. Further, Krishna asks Karna to leave Duryadhan’s side and tell him that you are Kunti’s eldest son. These scenes show that even though Karna had rights, he was denied them all. In the final scene, the world’s best warrior, the philanthropist, was killed, yes, my son, Karna, was killed.
