Jaipur. A review meeting of the budget announcement of the Animal Husbandry Department was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Animal Husbandry, Gopalan, Dairy and Devasthan Minister Joraram Kumawat at the Livestock Building Auditorium on Tonk Road. Government Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Gopalan Dr. Samit Sharma, Director of Animal Husbandry Dr. Anand Sejra were also present in the meeting.
In the meeting, Animal Husbandry Minister Kumawat reviewed the progress of the Budget announcements of 2024-25 and 2025-26 including the progress of Mukhyamantri Mangala Animal Insurance Scheme, the operation of Mobile Veterinary Unit, the progress of FMD vaccination.
Reviewing Chief Minister Mangala Animal Insurance, Kumawat said that the target of last year should be completed by August, so that registrations of 25-26 can be started from September 1. He instructed to further speed in insurance work. He also insisted on releasing the insurance policy soon, giving instructions to issue the remaining health certificate. He said that in the next financial year, ensure the system of issuing the health certificates and insurance of animals under this scheme, so that the process does not cause unnecessary delay.
Reviewing the progress of the availability of land leases for the buildings of newly approved/ grantful veterinary institutions in the budget announcement, Kumawat expressed dissatisfaction and said that in a month, the officers should work in this direction. He instructed the officials that it is our responsibility to complete the budget announcements on time. For this, the officers should put their full energy and show the results. Kumawat instructed the officials to activate the new veterinary and sub -medical centers in any government building until the building is constructed. He instructed the officials to personally meet the Collector and SDM and accelerate this work and approve the land leases.
Discussing the sex symbolizing semen, Kumawat said that while accelerating this work, use the available dosage in the next one month so that the cattle rearers can get the benefit soon.
Earlier, the Minister of Animal Husbandry discussed with all the stakeholders of the Mobile Veterinary Unit regarding the effective operation of the mobile waiterine unit. Kumawat said that the Mobile Veterinary Unit is an ambitious and important scheme of the Government of India. The government is spending a lot of budget on this scheme, but the results that should have been received are not being found. Complaints are still coming from the area. In this meeting, problems faced in the area were discussed with all the stakeholders related to the scheme and an attempt was made to resolve them on the spot.
Addressing the stakeholders of the scheme, the Animal Husbandry Minister said that he should aim to benefit more and more cattle rearers by following all the rules. Action can be taken against them for not following the terms of service rules. He instructed the call center to extend his man power and time period. He said that mobile vans are not only to distribute medicines, it is also very important to treat animals. Giving instructions to pay the penalty regularly, he said that this will maintain transparency and will also bring quality in work.
Talking to reporters later, the Animal Husbandry Minister said that we have completed almost all the announcements of the previous budget manifesto and about 65 percent of the announcements of this financial year have been completed. He said that the intention of the Chief Minister is that the state government and our animal husbandry department are working in this direction to be 100 percent implementation of budget announcements.
The meeting was attended by senior officials of the department including Financial Advisor Manoj Shandilya, Additional Director Dr. Suresh Meena, Dr. Praveen Sen, Dr. Omprakash Weaver, Dr. Vikas Sharma.
