Harish Kumar, a resident of Gautam Nagar in Ajmer, has accused the pediatric ward of the railway hospital of gross negligence. Harish said that he had admitted his three and a half year old daughter to the railway hospital on 7 April. During the treatment, the hospital doctors and nursing staff applied glucose drip to her daughter, whose expiry date is March 2025.
“Nursing staff threatened”
Harish says that when he saw the expiry date of the drip and informed the staff about it, the staff first ignored his point, but later accepted his mistake. It is alleged that after this the hospital staff said that the mistake has been made, now do whatever you want to do. Harish also gave a written complaint to the CMO regarding this entire matter, from where he got an answer that there is nothing to worry about.
He vomits immediately after eating food.
Harish alleges that if his daughter’s condition deteriorates, it will be responsible for the railway hospital administration. At present, the condition of the girl is said to be stable, but she vomits immediately after eating food, which is worried about the family. Harish has demanded that the hospital administration give written assurance that his daughter will not suffer any health loss due to this negligence for the next three months. If any problem arises in the future, then the railway hospital will be fully responsible for it.
Order of inquiry
In this case, Chief Medical Superintendent of Railways Arun Kumar says that the nursing officer has been ordered to investigate the matter. Departmental action will be taken against whoever is found guilty in the investigation.
