New Delhi. After landing fighter jets on the Agra Expressway, the National Highway Authority is now preparing to build a helipad on the expressway. The complete plan for this has also been prepared and this will be the first expressway in the country on which helipads will be built, that too not one or two but 12. Another specialty of this expressway is that a wildlife corridor is being built on it, through which wild animals will have a way to pass. Musical instruments will be used so that these animals do not have any problem with the horns and sirens of vehicles.
Actually, we are talking about the country’s longest expressway, the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The government has decided to build 12 helipads on it. These will be used for medical emergencies and army work. Let us tell you that the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is being built for 1,350 kilometers, which will pass through 4 states. After its completion, the travel time between the two cities will be reduced to just 12.30 hours. Currently it takes more than 24 hours to cover this distance.

Where will the helipad be built
NHAI RO (Jaipur) Chief General Manager Pawan Kumar says that the government will build all 12 helipads in Rajasthan. Out of these, the maximum 6 helipads will be built in Rajasthan’s Sawai Madhopur district, while 4 helipads will be built in Dausa district and 2 in Kota. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia had recently said that helipads will be built on all major highways of the country for medical emergencies.

The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will pass through 7 districts of Rajasthan. Its total distance in Rajasthan will be 374 km. It includes Alwar, Bharatpur, Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, Bundi and Kota districts. Preparations are underway to build helipads in 3 of these districts. It will be mainly used to airlift the injured in case of an accident.
It will cross 5 wildlife corridors
The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will also cross 5 major wildlife sanctuaries, which include large forests like Mukundra National Park, Ranthambhore National Park and Sariska Tiger Reserve. The horns and sirens of cars will also be changed so that the wild animals living in these sanctuaries do not face any trouble from vehicles. There are plans to play music of Indian musical instruments in its place. This may include sitar, shehnai or other musical instruments.
