Srinagar, After the Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on his first visit to Jammu and Kashmir. During this visit, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 84 development projects worth Rs 1,500 crore in Srinagar. But he made such a promise to the Kashmiris, which the people there have been expecting for many years.
PM Modi said during a rally in Srinagar that preparations for the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir have begun and the day is not far when the people of the Union Territory will elect their government and regain their statehood. Modi congratulated the people of Jammu and Kashmir for record voting in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections and breaking the record of 35 years. The Prime Minister said, you deserve congratulations for this… Now the time has come for the people of Jammu and Kashmir to choose their government through their votes. For this, preparations are being made to hold assembly elections. The statehood of Jammu and Kashmir will also be restored. Modi praised the youth of Jammu and Kashmir for heavy voting in the Lok Sabha elections and said that they have ensured the victory of democracy.

The Prime Minister also gave a strong message to the terrorists from Srinagar. Referring to the recent terrorist incidents in Jammu and Kashmir, he assured the country that he will leave no stone unturned to teach the enemies a lesson. Modi said, the enemies of peace and humanity do not like the progress of Jammu and Kashmir. Today they are making a last attempt to stop the development of Jammu and Kashmir. The government has taken the recent terrorist incidents very seriously. I assure you that we will leave no stone unturned to teach a lesson to the enemies of Jammu and Kashmir.

Modi, who arrived in Srinagar on a two-day visit after becoming the Prime Minister for the third time, will participate in the International Yoga Day program on Friday. He said, today large-scale work is being done on every front of development in Jammu and Kashmir. Under this, thousands of kilometers of new roads have been built here. Kashmir valley is also being connected by rail. Referring to the world’s largest railway bridge built on the Chenab river, Modi said that every Indian is filled with pride after seeing its pictures. The results of the Lok Sabha elections show that the public has faith in our intentions and policies. Whatever I am doing day and night for the country, I am doing it with good intentions. I am working very honestly and with dedication so that a way out of what the previous generations of Kashmir have suffered can be made.
