A seven-year-old girl who was kidnapped from Sealdah was recovered from Jamui. All preparations had been made to sell it to a relative for Rs 6,000. The man accused of stealing the girl along with his son was arrested. The matter came to light after information was provided by the watchman of Sona police station.
Jamui. A seven-month-old baby girl who was stolen from Sealdah in West Bengal has been recovered in Jamui. Jamui and Bengal police have recovered the stolen baby from Babudih in Sono police station area of the district. Police have also arrested a man named Nandkishore Das on charges of theft. According to information, the arrested Nandkishore Das and his son had stolen the baby from Sealdah and brought it home to sell it to their relative. According to the police, Rs 6,000 was fixed for selling the baby, after stealing the baby Nandkishore Das was going to sell this baby to his brother-in-law’s son. It has been told that the baby was stolen while she was sleeping in Sealdah a few days ago, after which the family registered a case in the local police station. According to information, the arrested Nandkishore Das and his son Suresh Das both work as daily wage labourers in Sealdah.
Actually, this matter was revealed when Indradev Paswan, a chowkidar of Sono police station area, informed the police officer about this. The chowkidar had received information that Suresh Das and Nandkishore Das of Lakhankyari village, who are both father and son, had stolen a 7-month-old girl from Sealdah. Nandkishore Das had kept her at his brother-in-law Parmeshwar Das’s house in his in-laws’ house with the intention of selling her secretly.
The crime was revealed due to information given by the watchman
After the information given by the watchman, the police raided Babudih village and recovered the 7 month old girl from Mahadev Das’s house. During the recovery, the police also arrested Nandkishore Das. During interrogation, it was learnt that his brother-in-law Parmeshwar Das’s son Ranjit has a son. Since there was no daughter, negotiations were held to sell this girl for Rs. 6000.
SDPO shared information about the whole case
In the case, Jhajha SDPO Rajesh Kumar said that during the investigation, it was found that the girl was kidnapped from Sealdah in West Bengal after seven months. A case was also registered against unknown persons in Muchipara police station. The SDPO also said that after receiving detailed information from Sealdah police, the recovered girl was medically examined and then handed over to Sealdah police and the family members. The remaining absconding accused in this case will also be arrested soon.
