Dr. Amit Kumar, physician at Goyal Hospital, Faridabad, told AnyTV That vitamin B12 is considered extremely important for the functioning of the nervous system. When there is a deficiency of vitamin B12 in our body, then people start feeling extremely tired and weak. Due to the deficiency of this vitamin, sufficient oxygen does not reach all the parts of the body and this causes weakness. Due to the deficiency of vitamin B12, brain power starts decreasing and memory is affected. Due to its deficiency, people’s hands and feet start becoming numb and they start feeling tingling.

According to the doctor, due to deficiency of vitamin B12, people’s muscles start weakening and they feel difficulty in walking. Due to this, people start feeling less hungry and start losing weight. This causes many symptoms including nausea, diarrhea, increased heart rate, vision problems, lack of energy. If a person sees such symptoms or signs, then he should immediately consult a doctor. If there is a deficiency of vitamin B12 for a long time, then many serious problems can arise. Supplements can also be taken to overcome the deficiency of this vitamin.

According to health experts, the biggest source of vitamin B12 is food items. Milk, curd, cheese, egg, fish, chicken and many other things contain good amount of vitamin B12. If vegetarian people eat a lot of dairy products, then there will be no deficiency of this vitamin. Many times, despite eating and drinking a lot, the deficiency of vitamin B12 in the body of people is not fulfilled. In such a condition, they are given vitamin B12 supplements. This provides relief to a great extent.
