Whenever a car is mentioned, the image of sedan cars with long and sloppy design emerges in almost everyone’s mind. Although the demand for sedans has decreased a bit after the arrival of utility vehicles in the market in the last few years, but even today people’s craze towards this body segment has not diminished.
Perhaps this is the reason why the Czech Republic’s leading automaker Skoda, which is once again making its comeback in India in a new style, has seen a sudden spurt in the demand for its Octavia sedan. If we look at the sales figures, the company has sold a total of 194 units of Skoda Octavia in the month of November, which is 870% more than just 20 units in the same month last year.
In June this year, Skoda launched the fourth generation model of Octavia in the Indian market. Although this model was introduced in the global market in November 2019, there was a lot of delay in bringing it to India. However, the new Skoda Octavia is not only attractive in look and design, but it also offers seamless technology, solid performance, superior space and comfortable travel along with unmatched safety.
The Skoda Octavia is available in the Indian market in five colors with a total of two trims which include Lava Blue, Magic Black, Candy White, Brilliant Silver and Maple Brown. In this car, the company has used TSI petrol engine of 2.0 liter capacity, which generates power of 187bhp and torque of 320Nm. This engine comes mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
As far as features are concerned, this car gets features like 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch fully digital instrument console, two-spoke alloy wheels, shifty by wire gearstick and dual zone climate control. The company has also made a lot of changes in its exterior design, which makes it different from the previous generation model.
