What did the leaders say on PoK?
Just as the Government of India abrogated Article 370 and created two Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, in the same way the discussion of merging Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoK) with India in the next step is gaining momentum. Statements of senior leaders are also coming out regarding the demand of merging PoK with India. Recently Union Minister Amit Shah said that PoK is a part of India and we will keep it. Referring to the protests in PoK, he said that after the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019, peace has returned to the once restive Kashmir, but Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is now resonating with protests and slogans of independence.
“If there is no ceasefire for three more days, then…”
Yesterday, veteran BJP leader and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan said, “Pakistan had attacked Jammu and Kashmir, our forces were fighting bravely, if there was no ceasefire for three more days, then PoK would have happened. Not only this, the entire Kashmir would have been ours. Congress and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru committed a sin, due to which PoK remained with Pakistan. Today, Bharatiya Janata Party has resolved that now PoK is ours and we will keep it. It is an integral part of India. What did Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru do? Who brought two marks, two heads in one country? We kept raising slogans that two marks, two constitutions, two heads will not work in one country, but Congress committed this sin and imposed Article 370. I salute Prime Minister Narendra Modi for abolishing Article 370 in one go. Two symbols, two laws, two heads were removed from the country.”
“It is our constitutional responsibility to bring the entire Jammu and Kashmir into India.”
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “According to the Constitution of India, the entire Jammu and Kashmir is ours. It is our constitutional responsibility to bring the entire Jammu and Kashmir into India and to fulfill that responsibility we need 400 seats.”
“There are continuous movements going on in PoK to make us a part of India.”
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, “80 crore people are getting the benefit of free ration facility in India. The population of Pakistan is 23 to 24 crore. There is fighting for one kg of flour in Pakistan. In PoK There are continuous movements going on to make us a part of India, because India is ruled by PM Modi and hence we will be able to live happily in India. Tell those who are singing the praises of Pakistan to go and become a part of Pakistan.
Ramesh Pokhriyal said – The day is not far when…
BJP leader Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said, “PoK is definitely a part of India. You must have seen that in the Parliament of India, 24 legislative assemblies of that Pakistan occupied area have been passed by making proper laws. The day is not far when Section Just like the removal of 370, that area will also be able to join India with full self-respect.”
PoK will always be a part of India: Foreign Minister
Earlier, Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar has again reiterated that Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) is a part of India and will always remain so. He said that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir has changed and the people here are progressing, whereas the people living in PoK face discrimination and ill-treatment. Because of this, perhaps the people there compare themselves with the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
