After Loksabha, now announcement of Rupauli assembly by-election. Election Commission issued notification, know the date of voting. The seat fell vacant after Bima Bharti resigned from the post of JDU MLA.
Purnia. After the Lok Sabha elections, the drum of by-election has been sounded in Rupauli Assembly Constituency 60 of Purnia. Former Rupauli MLA Bima Bharti had contested the Lok Sabha elections from RJD after resigning from the post of JDU MLA. Since then the Rupauli assembly seat was vacant. The Election Commission has also issued a notification. In this regard, on Tuesday, District Officer Kundan Kumar shared the information that by-election is to be held in Rupauli Assembly Constituency 60. For this, the press note and notification have been issued by the Election Commission of India.
According to the notification of the Election Commission, the date of nomination for Rupauli by-election is from June 14 to June 21. Scrutiny is on June 24 and the date of withdrawal of nomination is June 26. At the same time, voting i.e. by-election will be held on July 10, while counting of votes is to be done on July 13. The District Magistrate said that the total number of voters in Rupauli assembly is 313599, in which female voters are 151895 and male voters are 161688. Other voters are 16. The sex ratio here is 939.
Purnia DM Kundan Kumar said that there are three blocks in Rupauli assembly constituency- Rupauli, Bhawanipur and Badhara Kothi. The total number of polling centers is 321, while the total number of buildings where voting is to be held is 162. Out of these, 152 booths have been set up in 72 buildings in Rupauli. Whereas, 111 booths have been set up in 57 buildings in Bhawanipur and 58 booths have been set up in 33 buildings in Badhara Kothi.
The District Officer said that the administration has made all the preparations to conduct fair elections. It is noteworthy that the Lok Sabha elections in Purnia were also conducted fairly and peacefully. Now it remains to be seen how the Rupauli Assembly by-election turns out.
