Bhopal. After the results of the assembly elections of five states, there is a possibility of further tussle in the Congress of Madhya Pradesh, which is going through infighting.
Every leader and worker of the party has been acknowledged that the performance of Congress has not been satisfactory in the assembly elections of five states. Emphasis is being laid on brainstorming and contemplation about the election results eating inside from all sides.
Madhya Pradesh has always been important for the Congress, but due to mutual tussle, the party has lost its power in the state. Even after incurring such a huge loss, the mutual tussle in the Congress is not taking its name to stop. At present, former Chief Minister Kamal Nath has two responsibilities, one is the State President and the other is the Leader of the Opposition. Many party leaders are trying to occupy one of the two posts of Kamal Nath or are trying to capture the leader belonging to their faction. Kamal Nath himself has made up his mind to leave a post and has also conveyed his opinion to the party high command.
After the election results of five states, those forces within the Congress have got strength, who have been trying to take a front against Kamal Nath. Now many leaders are seen joining the campaign to take back a post from Kamal Nath for the return of Congress in the state power in a subdued voice.
If party sources are to be believed, there are many contenders for the Leader of Opposition and all are also trying to occupy this post. In these situations, there is a possibility of further tussle within the party. In the budget session of the Legislative Assembly, after the boycott of the Governor’s address by MLA Jitu Patwari, there has been a conflict within the party.
BJP keeps quipping about Kamal Nath every now and then.
