In Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, a young man has accused Congress MLA Abhay Mishra of brutally attacking with sticks and beating him with his colleagues. However, the MLA has denied these allegations and said that they are inspired by politics. According to a report by The Indian Express, Abhishek Tiwari has alleged that the MLA and his 10-12 colleagues beat him for the arrears of work in the farmhouse. He is seriously injured and bruises are visible on his body.
Congress MLA described allegations as a conspiracy
Semaria MLA Abhay Mishra denied the allegations and told The Indian Express that the matter is motivated by politics and has been made with the intention of tarnishing his image. Abhay said, “I have been continuously raising corruption cases against the BJP. I have returned from Singapore yesterday and I have been told that there was a fight in my absence.”
He said, “This boy is addicted to drugs. It had a quarrel before my staff. His finger was cut in the quarrel. I asked him not to quarrel. It was the inner case of the staff that is now being distorted to trap me.”
Ask for 500 rupees to buy alcohol
The dispute increased further when the MLA’s employee Ashok Tiwari filed a counter -complaint against Abhishek. He alleged that Abhishek cut his finger during a scuffle near Dhekha Tiraha late Thursday night. Ashok alleged that Abhishek asked for Rs 500 to buy liquor and assaulted him for refusal. Eventually he cut his right index finger and started bleeding from it.
However, Abhishek revealed that the whole matter began when he reminded Mishra of his outstanding salary. He told reporters from the hospital bed, “They first abused me, then beaten me more than 30 times with sticks, and then their men also came and beat me further.”
This incident has taken political color and former Samaria MLA K.P. Tripathi’s supporters staged a sit -in at the Civil Lines police station on Friday and demanded strict action against Abhay Mishra. Both sides have filed a complaint, but the police have not yet registered a case against the MLA. “The investigation of the case is going on,” said a police officer.
