60 percent of electric vehicles sold in February are electric two-wheelers
With the rising prices of petrol and diesel in the country, everyone is in great demand for Electric Vehicles (EVs). You can guess this information from the last month’s sales figures of electric scooters, how people are crazy behind EVs. Let us tell you that in the month of February also, a large number of EVs were sold. Electric two-wheelers accounted for 60% of all these. Last year, a total of 54557 electric units were sold, out of which 32416 are high-speed electric scooters. There was an increase of 18 per cent in EV sales in February as compared to January 2022. Hero Electric has sold the most among them.
Let us inform that 7356 units of electric scooter were sold by Hero last month. Whereas in the same month 2021, 2194 units were sold. This means that compared to last year, this year the company had achieved 335% growth this year. In the first two months of the year, the company has sold over 15,000 EVs. After Hero, Okinawa is the largest selling company, which had sold 11536 scooters till February this year. At number three is the Ampere company. Apart from this, Ola Electric has also recently included its name in the top 5 electric vehicle manufacturers in India.
