Chandigarh Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji established the Khalsa Panth on 13 April 1699 and created a spirit of living with courage and sacrifice among the people. He gave a new direction to the society by connecting valor and brave spirit with spiritual thinking.

The Chief Minister was addressing Sadh Sangat at Gurdwara in South City-1, Gurugram on the occasion of Vaisakhi today. On this occasion, the Chief Minister prayed at the gurudwara and congratulated everyone on this holy day.

He said that Vaisakhi is a very beautiful festival, which is celebrated with great enthusiasm all over North India. The festival of Vaisakhi is known by different names in different states. This festival holds great importance to the farmers due to the symbol of kharif crop ripening.

Naib Singh Saini said that Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji had established the Khalsa Panth in 1699 on the day of Vaisakhi to fight injustice and atrocities. At that time the country was ruled by the Mughals. They were committing severe torture on the people and were being forced to convert. The society was divided on the basis of caste and religion. At that time Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji performed such a miracle that no ordinary man could do. He inspired people to make every kind of sacrifice to protect their religion and respect.

The Chief Minister said that while laying the foundation of the Khalsa Panth, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji had included five different castes of the country and five different regions of Panch Pyar. Then he ended discrimination by drinking nectar from the same vessel to everyone. He never acknowledged discrimination between humans on the basis of language, caste and religion.

Generations sacrificed to protect humanity

Guru Gobind Singh ji himself, his father Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji, mother Gujri ji and his four sons were martyred while protecting humanity. Thus, the example of the sacrifice of three generations of the same family is rare in the history of the world.

The Chief Minister said that many incidents of our history are also related to the festival of Vaisakhi. On 13 April 1919, a peace -loving citizens were brutally shot dead by General Dyer in Jallianwala Bagh, Amritsar. The massacre made freedom fighters more committed to the British government, which led to the independence of the country on 15 August 1947.

The Chief Minister said that today the whole country is paying tribute to the great martyrs of Jallianwala Bagh. On this occasion, he paid tribute to the martyrs of Jallianwala Bagh on behalf of the people of Haryana and the Haryana government.

Sikh museum to be built in Kurukshetra

The Chief Minister said that state level programs were organized in the year 2019 to commemorate the 550th Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and the 350th Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji in the year 2017. In the year 2022, the 400th Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji was celebrated and a state level ceremony was organized on the historic land of Panipat.

Naib Singh Saini said that a Sikh museum will be established in 4 acres of area in Kurukshetra, so that the Sikh community can remain connected with its history and the coming generations can get information about the great sacrifices of our gurus.

He said that the Government of India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi constructed the Kartarpur Corridor so that the Sikh community could visit the Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara in Pakistan, where Guru Nanak Dev Ji spent a large part of his life. He said that the Haryana government has also transferred the land of a educational institution located near the Gurdwara Chilla Sahib in Sirsa to the Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, which has fulfilled the long -standing demand of the Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee. Guru Nanak Dev Ji meditated there for 40 days and stayed in Sirsa. He said that a world -class Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Memorial will be built in Lohgarh in Yamunanagar district, which will show the heroic saga of his bravery and sacrifice.

Gurudwara is managing good service

The Chief Minister said that Gurugram Gurudwara started on a small piece of land in the year 2000, but today it has become huge with the blessings of the Gurus and it will become even more grand in future. He said that whatever demands have been placed before him by the gurudwara management, they will be fulfilled soon, including the demand for additional land. The Chief Minister also announced a grant of Rs 21 lakh for the gurudwara. He said that good service is being done at the wellness center run by the gurudwara, as a large number of poor patients come to OPD daily and get treatment.

Development of India under the leadership of Prime Minister

The Chief Minister said that India is constantly developing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and this is the reason that today it has become very easy to see Gurudwaras like Hemkund Sahib. He said that the Prime Minister will come to Haryana on April 14 and launch air service from Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar and will lay the foundation stone of the third unit of Dinbandhu Chhotu Ram thermal power plant in Yamunanagar.

Earlier, the Chief Minister also visited Anandpur Sahib in Punjab and on the occasion of Vaisakhi, he prayed to the gurudwara there.
