31 year old car returns in new avatar
Tata Motors launched Sierra in 1991. This car was the first SUV car made in the country. However, after a few years, it was discontinued due to low sales of this car. Now the company has planned to present this car in electric avatar. The company had introduced the electric avatar of the Sierra as a concept vehicle at the Auto Expo 2020. Now preparations are on to bring it to the Indian market. However, the company will bring it only in the electric version. The company has no intention of offering it in petrol and diesel versions.

Will be based on Sigma platform
Tata Motors has recently developed a new Sigma platform for electric vehicles. The company’s new Sierra electric car will be based on this platform. The company’s existing electric vehicles are based on the company’s petrol-diesel platform. Better battery and motor will also be used in the new Sigma platform.
When can it knock in the Indian market?
Tata Motors has not yet given any information about the Sierra electric car’s launch timeline in India. However, according to a report, this electric car will knock in the Indian market by 2025.
