Hanumangarh. There was a stir in Sangaria police station of Hanumangarh district when a woman set herself on fire by sprinkling petrol on herself. This left the policemen present there in a state of panic. The policemen quickly extinguished the fire and took the burnt woman to the hospital. Seeing her critical condition, she was referred to Bikaner for treatment but she died on the way. In the statements given before her death, the woman was claiming to love a young man. She was insisting on living with him. But when the man refused, she set herself on fire. The police is now in fear due to the suicide incident in front of the police station.

Sangaria Deputy Superintendent of Police Karan Maan said that the name of the woman who set herself on fire is Saroj. Saroj said that she loves a young man named Sanjay Jyani. Sanjay was not picking up her phone for many days. Saroj had presented a complaint in the police station on Wednesday and expressed her desire to live with Sanjay. On this, the police called Sanjay and Saroj to the police station on Thursday. They were made to talk there. Sanjay refused to live with Saroj.

The woman said she can’t live without Sanjay
This made Saroj angry and she went outside. Saroj had brought petrol with her. She went outside the police station and poured petrol on herself and then set herself on fire. As soon as this incident of setting herself on fire happened near the police station, there was chaos there. The seriously burnt woman said that she cannot live without Sanjay. She had been roaming around with petrol in her scooty for three days. When Sanjay refused, she told him that she cannot live without him. He was not listening to her, so she poured petrol on herself and set herself on fire.

The burnt woman died on the way to Bikaner
Sangaria DSP said that the policemen rescued the woman from the fire and took her to the local hospital. Seeing her critical condition, she was given first aid and then referred to Hanumangarh District Hospital. But later, when her condition did not improve there, she was referred to Bikaner. But she died before reaching Bikaner. DSP says that the matter is of a love affair. Sanjay is married. The woman’s statement was taken. Police is investigating the entire matter.
