Tej Swaroop Singh, Deputy Commissioner (DCP) of Lucknow South, told reporters on Sunday that Ram Lakhan Gautam, accused in the case, is originally from Balrampur district and lived in a rented house in Bijnor police station area.
Wife and two children murdered on suspicion of immoral relationship
The DCP said that the owner of the house Dhirendra Kumar informed the police about the incident on Sunday afternoon. Singh said that the police have arrested the accused Ramlakhan Gautam. According to the police, the deceased have been identified as Jyoti (30), her daughter Payal (6) and son Anand (3). The bodies were sent for postmortem. The police have not yet been able to ascertain the motive behind the murder. Investigation is going on in this matter.
‘Killer’ stayed in the house with dead body for three days
According to the police, Jyoti and Ramlagan were married about seven years ago. Ramlagan suspected that Jyoti had an illegal relationship with a young man. He often checked Jyoti’s phone secretly. There was often a fight between the two on this matter. According to the police, there was a fight between the two on March 28. During the fight, Ram Lagan strangled his wife Jyoti. The children saw the murder, so Ram Lagan also strangled his daughters Payal and Anand. After the murder, the accused spent the night in the same room where the bodies of the three were lying.
