In a land dispute in Doya village of Nursarai police station area of Nalanda district, a woman was shot dead by miscreants. The deceased has been identified as Sushila Devi, a 60 -year -old wife of Sunil Prasad, who was posted as a nurse in PMCH, Patna.
There was a dispute over land
Sushila’s son Sonu Kumar said that the controversy of four and a half bighas of land was going on with Gotia for some time. Since Friday, cousin Nilesh Kumar threatened to ‘shoot’. On Saturday morning, when the mother was going to see the paddy transplanting in the field, the miscreants already ambushed him in her head.
Four cartridges recovered from the spot
Sadar DSP to Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal said that the villagers had informed that a woman was lying unconscious on the roadside. On the information of the villagers, the police reached the spot and rushed him to Biharsharif Model Hospital, where doctors declared the woman dead. The forensic team has recovered four cartridges from the scene. Some suspects, including cousins, have been named in the land dispute. Superintendent of Police Rajneesh Kumar Singh said that after the post -mortem, the dead body has been handed over to the family members. Raids are being conducted to arrest the accused.
Recently two people were killed
Earlier, two people were shot dead after taking violent form of dispute between children of two families in Nalanda district. The incident took place on Sunday night in Dumrawan village of Nalanda when two families opened fire on each other. Nalanda Deputy Superintendent of Police Ram Dular Prasad said that the victims have been identified as Annu Kumari (22) and 24 -year -old Himanshu Kumar.
