A complaint has been lodged against The Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri at Versova police station in Mumbai. He is accused of using the word homosexual for Bhopalis in an interview. Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh has also expressed displeasure over his statement.
Rohit Pandey, 27, a PR manager at Mumbai’s Versova police station, has filed a complaint against Vivek Agnihotri. The complainant is a resident of Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh and has demanded immediate registration of an FIR in the matter.

In fact, in an interview, Vivek Agnihotri had said that people often consider ‘Bhopalis’ as homosexuals because of ‘their Nawabi desires’. The director of The Kashmir Files came under criticism for his remarks after the clip of the interview went viral. He said in the interview, “I am from Bhopal, but I do not call myself Bhopali because it has a certain meaning.
