Crime News Desk !!! It is said that books are human’s best friends. When you do not see any way in the world, the verses written in books can show you the way, provided you read the books a little carefully. When one such book became a friend of a police officer, the murder mystery, which was not opening for the last 17 months, opened in one stroke and the whole matter became clear like a glass.
A tired investigation of murder
We often do not know what the police saves to resolve the small murder case. First of all, the case of murder comes in front of people and after solving it, the result comes out. But how the police reaches the end of murder from one end to the other, this journey is not only tired, but is also sometimes exciting. The Damoh police of Madhya Pradesh have claimed to solve one such blind murder. It took the police 17 months to open a closed case of this murder. But when the knot opened, everyone was surprised. But the most interesting thing is that the way the police saw this blind murder case. And the police saw light in that darkness
It took 17 months to solve this blind murder
Damoh police has arrested an accused, disclosing the case of blind murder of a student of class 10th. The matter was so entangled that it took the police 17 months to resolve it. The story starts from May last year. When on May 14 last year, the police found a male skeleton in a field. Laxman Patel, a resident of Patharia village, and his wife Yashoda identified the skeleton as their son Jayaraj on the basis of clothes and goods.
Skeleton’s DNA test turns out empty
The police conducted a DNA test twice of that skeleton to gather strong evidence, but the DNA did not match. Now the family as well as the police is also confused as to what is the matter. And after a little investigation and intensive inquiries, it was found that Jayaraj was born through IVF i.e. in vitro fertilization technology. But the question is stuck here how to detect DNA. And then match it.
Complicated confusing in front of police!
In this struggle, the police investigating officers were trying to solve this mystery, but the success was far away from them. Then the investigating officer got a book. As soon as he read the book on the US police, the brain light of the investigating officer was burnt. The same thing was written in that book, in search of which the police officers of Damoh were roaming around.
American book showed the way
Actually, in that book, the correct and scientific method of DNA testing of children born with IVF technology was described. This test requires saliva or sweat samples instead of blood. With the reading in the police book, the bus went ahead and felt as if he had got the key of the treasure. She opened the locks one by one.
The child was identified with clothes
Jayaraj’s father Laxman Patel says that we tried to find a son at our level. A reward of five lakh rupees was also announced for those who found them. The day the police got a skeleton from my farm, both me and my wife went together. Pants, T-shirts and belts were found near the skeleton, that is, the clothes in which Jayaraj disappeared, his parents met the farm.
Parents’ DNA not found
He was identified in front of the police only by identifying those clothes. The parents had identified the skeleton with clothes, but the police needed concrete evidence. For this, the police has only one way that the body sample should be mixed with the blood of the parents through the DNA test and the identity should be confirmed. Laxman and Yashoda’s blood and bone samples were sent to the forensic lab of the ocean for examination. The police sealed the male skeleton and kept it in their custody till then. A few days later, Sagar FSL reported that the DNA of Skeleton and Laxman Patel and Yashoda is not having mail. After receiving the report from Sagar, the police once again took samples from the family and sent them to Chandigarh FSL. In terms of technology, Chandigarh FSL is counted among the best lab in the country. However, there was no DNA match here.
100% answer from IVF center
Now the challenge before the police was whether the skeleton that was found is of Jayaraj or someone else. Laxman and Yashoda were constantly pleading with the police to hand over the skeletons of their child so that they could cremate it. Laxman Patel had told the police that he was married to Yashoda in 2004. After four years of marriage, when they did not have any children, both of them moved to an IVF center in Indore. Jayaraj was born in 2009 with Test Tube technology. Police immediately discovered this IVF center in Indore, from where Yashoda bought sperm for a test tube baby. The police sought information about the sperm donor from the IVF center, but the center refused to give information to the police citing the rules.
The path shown in American case study
Confused police officer ASP Sandeep Mishra was constantly reading books related to FSL. So that some way comes out. Meanwhile, he got to read the case of theft of children born with IVF technology in America. The DNA test was conducted by the US police to identify these children. For this, the goods of the children were ordered from the parents who claimed the children. A sample was tested against saliva or sweat on those items against the child’s DNA. The children who had a DNA match were handed over to their parents. As soon as Sandeep Mishra read this case study, the light of his brain was burnt.
Son’s funeral after 13 months
Meanwhile, Laxman Patel filed a petition in the High Court demanding that the child be handed over to the skeletal funeral. The court also listened to the parents and ordered the skeleton to be handed over to the police, by then Damoh SP Shrutkirti Somvanshi had taken charge. He then told the then TI Sudhir Begi that his son’s skeleton should be handed over to Laxman Patel. Sudhir Begi reached the village with a skeleton and handed over to Laxman Patel. 13 months later, on 12 May 2024, Laxman cremated his son.
Police investigation ended without proof
The day Jayaraj’s skeleton was found, Laxman blamed the accused for the murder, but the police had no evidence against him. In addition, it was not scientifically proven that the skeleton belongs to Jayaraj. After this, Laxman met Dr. Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and told him his problem. Meanwhile, ASP Sandeep Mishra wrote a letter to TI Sudhir Negi with the picture of the page of that book. Now the police had two concrete reasons for fresh investigation. First of all, the new discovery of ASP Sandeep Mishra, on the basis of which it was said to resume this investigation. At the same time, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav also instructed the police to provide justice to Laxman. So once again the DNA test started.
Test with a sample of sweat
Police seized Jayaraj’s childhood toys, gloves, cap, whistles, school ID cards from Laxman Patel’s house. All these items were sent to FSL, Chandigarh. The police hoped that these items could have samples of Jayaraj’s body, nails or sweat samples. This trick of the police worked and it was proved that Jayaraj is the only child of Laxman and Yashoda Patel. But now the question was who killed Jayaraj.
First doubt and then believe
In fact, Laxman was suspicious of Jayaraj’s kidnapping and murder was on Manvendra, son of his half -brother Dashrath Patel. The people of the village also saw Jayaraj with Manvendra for the last time. Laxman had told the police that he and Dasharatha are the children of the same mother Parvati, but they have two father. Laxman Patel’s father was Shyamle Patel and Dashrath Patel’s father Dhaniram Patel. It was also revealed that Dasaratha and his son Manvendra’s eyes are on his property. Therefore, the police has now detained Manvendra on the basis of Laxman’s suspicion. When he was strictly questioned, he broke and confessed to killing Jayaraj.
The accused has confessed to the crime
During interrogation, Manvendra told that when Laxman Patel had no children, he hoped that he would be the only heir of the entire property. However, when Jayaraj was born with IVF technology, his plans changed. Actually, Laxman Patel has 100 acres of farming. Apart from this, there is also a plot and house in Damoh, which costs crores of rupees. As soon as Manvendra grew up, he started planning to remove Jayaraj from the road. He revealed to the police that he got a chance to remove Jayaraj from the road on 28 March. He took Jayaraj with him at 12 noon to teach him to drive a motorcycle. On reaching the farm, he strangled Jayaraj to death and buried the body in the field. After one and a half months, the police got a skeleton. The police registered a case of murder against the accused and was sent to jail on 25 August.
