Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Phase 7 Date: With the sixth phase of voting on Saturday, May 25, the Lok Sabha elections 2024 have now moved towards their final stage. Voting will be held on Saturday, June 1 in the 7th and final phase of the Lok Sabha elections. In this phase, voting will be held for the remaining 57 seats in 8 states. A total of 904 candidates are in the fray in the final phase. In this phase, many stalwarts of all parties including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bhojpuri star Ravi Kishan from Gorakhpur, BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut from Mandi seat of Himachal Pradesh, Vikramaditya Singh from Congress, Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur from Hamirpur and BJP’s Ravi Shankar Prasad from Patna Sahib in Bihar are in the fray.
In the 7th and final phase of the Lok Sabha elections, elections will be held on the remaining seats of Bihar, Chandigarh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. The Election Commission received a total of 2105 nomination papers for the elections to be held on 57 seats in 8 states. After scrutiny and withdrawal of nominations, now 904 candidates are left in the fray.
Most candidates in Punjab
If we look at the maximum number of candidates in the 8 states, we will find that 328 candidates are contesting for the 13 seats in Punjab. 144 candidates are in the fray for the remaining 13 seats in Uttar Pradesh. 134 candidates are contesting for the 8 seats in Bihar, 66 for the 6 seats in Odisha, 52 for the 3 seats in Jharkhand, 37 for the 4 seats in Himachal Pradesh, 124 for the 9 seats in West Bengal and 19 candidates are contesting for the 1 seat in Chandigarh.
Voting will be held on these seats
In the 7th phase of Lok Sabha elections, votes will be cast for Nalanda, Patna Sahib, Pataliputra, Ara, Buxar, Sasaram, Karakat and Jehanabad seats in Bihar. Votes will be cast for Rajmahal, Dumka and Godda seats in Jharkhand.
In Himachal Pradesh, all the four seats – Kangra, Mandi, Hamirpur and Shimla – will go to polls on June 1, Saturday, in the 7th phase.
Voting will also be held on June 1 in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur.
The 13 seats in Punjab where voting will be held in the last phase include Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Khadoor Sahib, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Anandpur Sahib, Ludhiana, Fatehgarh Sahib, Faridkot, Ferozepur, Bathinda, Sangrur and Patiala.
In the last phase of Lok Sabha elections, voting will be held on 13 seats in Uttar Pradesh on June 1. These include Maharajganj, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Deoria, Bansgaon, Ghosi, Salempur, Ballia, Ghazipur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Mirzapur and Robertsganj Lok Sabha seats.
In West Bengal, elections are to be held on June 1 for Calcutta North, Calcutta South, Dum Dum, Barasat, Basirhat, Jaynagar, Mathurapur, Diamond Harbour, Jadavpur Lok Sabha seats.
