Lok Sabha Election Results 2024: The results of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 have started coming out. The counting of votes started at 8 am. NDA’s figure is seen to be around 290-295 seats. In this result, there is one Lok Sabha seat where an independent ‘Dada’ has defeated BJP’s sitting MP ‘Kaka’. Till 1 pm, there was a margin of more than 55 thousand votes between the independent Dada and BJP’s Kaka.
Interesting contest on Sangli seat
We are talking about Sangli Lok Sabha seat of Maharashtra, where independent candidate Vishal (Dada) Prakashbapu Patil is continuously leading BJP’s sitting MP Sanjay (Kaka) Patil. There is a margin of more than 55 thousand votes between these two candidates. Vishal (Dada) Prakashbapu Patil has got more than 3 lakh 16 thousand votes. At the same time, BJP’s Sanjay (Kaka) Patil has got more than 2 lakh 60 thousand votes. Sanjay (Kaka) Patil has been an MP from Sangli Lok Sabha seat since 16 May 2014. He won the Sangli seat in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Sanjay (Kaka) Patil was earlier in Sharad Pawar’s NCP. He joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in February 2014. In 2014, he defeated Congress’ Pratik Patil by more than 2 lakh 38 thousand votes in the Modi wave. Talking about Vishal (Dada) Prakashbapu Patil, he is Pratik Patil’s brother and is contesting as an independent from Sangli this time. His grandfather Vasant Dada Patil has been the seventh governor and sixth chief minister of Maharashtra. His father Prakashbapu Patil has also been an MP from Sangli Lok Sabha seat five times.
