Kolkata . Protests have been going on in various districts of West Bengal since the Waqf Amendment Act has been implemented. In many places this performance has taken a fierce form. A person was brutally murdered amid protests against this law in Shamsherganj area of Mursshaidabad. The deceased was the father of two minor children. It is alleged that the miscreants forcibly dragged him out of his house and first attacked him with bricks on his head and face. After this, other parts of the body were also brutally attacked. Local people say that the attackers cut him with a sharp weapon. Along with this, his house was also badly damaged. After the incident, an atmosphere of tension spread throughout the area. To control the situation, the police-administration has deployed a large number of police forces in the area. Central forces troops are also patrolling the area so that law and order remains. At present, there is peace in the area, but the situation of tension still remains.
The deceased’s nephew Suraj Das said during a conversation with the news agency that there is looting in our village, people are running from all sides. The girls were sitting hiding, the entire house was burnt. Broke the house and killed his uncle and then murdered. The entire village was robbed. More than one hundred and fifty people came, they had weapons, stones, bullets. All the people were tied their mouths with a splash, we were running away from fear. The police kept saying on the phone for three hours that it was coming in ten minutes, but did not come. The murder was done, the body remained lying for three-four hours, then the police came. When the leader came, everyone became silent. People left the village and fled.
Suraj said that there were attacks again on Monday afternoon. People of other communities have destroyed our lives. No one is able to sleep at night, cannot eat, sleep has flew away. Our condition is very bad. We will have to provide assistance to the central government, otherwise the entire village will end. Just as the pyre is burning, our village is burning. If there is no help, then Hindus will not have any existence here, only another community will occupy. The same situation is in the nearby villages. My uncle and Grandpa were killed. What will happen to their children? What will mother do alone? There is no one to earn.
Suraj further said that I demand security. Police and central forces were not at night, so all this happened. When the murder took place, there was no police. What is the benefit if you come later? Cut my uncle, broke the mouth, stabbed, removed the leather. I would have shown if I had a photo.
