The country’s leading vehicle manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra has been updating its best selling model Mahindra Bolero from time to time. Bolero is well-liked in both urban and rural areas due to frequent updates and better performance. Now the company is preparing to make it even more secure by adding a new safety feature to this model. According to the information, the company will soon include dual airbags in Bolero.
The company launched the facelift model of Mahindra Bolero in March last year. Now the company is going to give it a new update, which can be launched in the market this month. It is believed that apart from including the new feature, the company will not make any major changes in it. However, a dual-tone paint scheme can be included in this.
At present, the Bolero is available with only 3 monotone colours, which include White, Silver and Brown. Now it can also be launched in the new red paint shade. The biggest change in the new Bolero will be seen in its cabin, till now this model only comes with a single driver side airbag. As recently the government had directed all the automakers that, if dual airbags will be mandatory in all vehicles then it will also be offered with dual airbags. This new rule will be implemented from next April.

Although no official information has been received about it yet, what features the company will include in it. But apart from dual airbags, other features can be kept as before. It gets Bluetooth enabled music system, AUX, USB connectivity, manual air condition, keyless entry, power steering and semi-digital instrument cluster.
As for safety, features like Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Rear Parking Sensor, Speed Alert with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) will be kept as standard. It is pertinent to note here that, Bolero also complies with pedestrian safety norms in India, being the only vehicle to do so with metal bumpers.
Engine Capacity:
The company will not make any changes in the engine of the new Bolero. It will be powered by a 3-cylinder diesel engine of the current 1.5-litre capacity. Which generates 75hp power and 210Nm torque. This engine comes with a 5 speed manual gearbox. After adding new updates and features, its price may definitely increase slightly. At present, its price is between Rs 8.71 lakh to Rs 9.70 lakh.
