It has been spotted several times during testing, after which all the information related to this SUV has been revealed. Now a new update has come out regarding the upcoming Vani Scorpio.
According to media reports, the new Mahindra Scorpio will be lighter in weight as well as safer than the current model. Although discussions about the launch of this SUV are going on since last year, but for the last two years its launch has been affected due to Corona epidemic (Covid-19) and many other reasons. Now it is believed that the company can present it for sale in the market this year.

Talking about the latest update, it is being told that the upcoming new Scorpio will be lighter and its weight can be reduced by about 100 to 150 kg compared to the current model. Engineers have reduced its weight after hard work. But it is not at all that this will compromise the safety of the SUV, but now the SUV will be equipped with even better safety features.
Its steering wheel will be lighter than before, which will also improve driving. Let us tell you that the current Scorpio is not that good in terms of safety as the current model got a zero star rating in the Global NCAP crash test conducted in 2016. Now the company is preparing the new Scorpio in such a way that the safety rating can be improved. In the last few years, many models equipped with strong safety features have been launched in the country and Tata Motors is growing very fast in this matter.
How safe will the new Scoprio be?
It is being claimed in media reports that the new Scorpio is being built on the same body-frame on which the second generation Mahindra Thar has been built. It is clear from this that the new Scorpio will also come with a better safety rating, at least in the Global NCAP crash test, 4 star rating can be expected from this SUV. To remind you, Mahindra’s XUV700 has got 5 stars and Marazzo 4 stars in the crash test.
The company will launch the new Scorpio with both petrol and diesel engine options. In this, a turbo petrol engine of 2.0 liter capacity is being used, which generates 150 bhp power and 320 Nm torque. On the other hand, the diesel version will see a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine, which generates 130 bhp power and 320 Nm torque. Both these engines come mated to a 6-speed manual and torque converter automatic transmission gearbox.

Another big change will be seen in this SUV that the company will use 3D Sony sound system in it, which will be taken from the XUV700. Although it can be included in the top models, which will come with 6 and 8 speakers. The Scorpio will get a new dashboard that will come equipped with almost premium upholstery, a new touchscreen infotainment system, a new multi-functional leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, an electric sunroof. The most important thing about its cabin will be that captain seats will be given in it.
