The Municipal Corporation has issued a notice to the businessmen to remove the occupation of the footpath along with the Matka Bazar on the roadside between Mahavir Chowk to Jaystambh Chowk in the city. The effect of this notice of the corporation has been on the occupants by placing a handcart in the footpath. Fearing the action of the corporation administration, the occupants who set up shop in the footpath themselves have closed their shop. There were about 13 shops here, out of which ten shops have been removed.
The occupants have wrapped up the shop and have now taken possession under the flyover. Where the corporation has identified the place for Matka market. There are stalls in these places. Here after the removal of the occupation, the footpath has started looking wide. The team of the corporation is now engaged in arranging the matka market, although till now the matka traders have not given up. In this regard, Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Singh said that notices have been given to all the occupants. Matka Bazar will also be soon arranged under the flyover under the campaign.
Shops started decorating under the flyover
After relinquishing possession from the footpath, the erudite businessmen, who set up the handcart, have now started setting up their shop under the flyover at Mahavir Chowk itself. Most of the people have started their shops under the flyover. Paan hawkers have also wrapped up shops. After leaving the footpath, the place has started looking wide. However, two-three shops have not been removed yet. To avoid action, the corporation administration had issued instructions to the shopkeepers to remove the shop from themselves to avoid action, due to which the shopkeepers have gathered the goods on their own.
