In the monsoon session of Parliament, the tension between the ruling party and the opposition is not only visible inside the House, but also outside. The Lok Sabha proceedings have been postponed indefinitely and after this Prime Minister Narendra Modi organized a tea party for members. Opposition parties boycotted PM Modi’s tea party.
No opposition leader arrived to join PM’s tea party. The leader of the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) constituents was present in the PM’s tea party. PM Modi described the monsoon session of Parliament in the tea party as good and said that during this time many important bills were passed. He praised the ruling party and said that the passage of the online Games Bill would have a far -reaching impact. Especially, it will affect the general public. PM Modi told the MPs present in the tea party that this is the issue which should be discussed more. He also said that the opposition could participate in the discussion on big bills, but he continued to interrupt.
PM Modi said that there are many young leaders in the opposition, especially the Congress, who are very talented. He said that these young leaders do not get a chance to speak due to the insecurity of the family (Gandhi family). PM Modi further said that these young leaders may be insecure and harassing Rahul Gandhi. It is worth mentioning that during the monsoon session in the Lok Sabha, the work was scheduled for discussion in the consultation committee, but only 37 hours in the House could be discussed. The 83 hours of deadlock set for discussion in the Lok Sabha were lost. A total of 14 bills were introduced in the Lok Sabha during this period.
Of these, the Jan Vishwas Bill was sent to the Select Committee. At the same time, the bill to remove PM-CM has been sent to the Joint Parliamentary Committee. The remaining 12 bills were passed from the Lok Sabha. Most of the bills could not be discussed due to deadlock and passed without discussion.
