Vedpal, District Minority Welfare Officer of Lakhimpur Kheri told the TV channel that a report has been sought from his department in this regard. The special thing is that the local people in these areas are also saying that suddenly the population has increased rapidly since the last time. For example, in Rupaidiha, Bahraich, a local person told the TV channel on camera that in the year 1965, there were around 650 voters here. Now people from across the border are also coming and settling here. The man claimed that now there are more than 16000 voters in Rupaidiha. Whereas, the total population has been close to 20000.
