New Delhi. Like every year, this year too, the shortage of tomatoes during the monsoon season has affected people’s pockets. Tomatoes are available at Rs 100 per kg at Mother Dairy’s retail outlet Safal in the national capital.

According to data released by the Department of Consumer Affairs, retail prices of tomatoes in Delhi reached Rs 93 per kg on Saturday, July 20. Last week, a senior official of the department had blamed excessive heat and subsequent rain for the sharp rise in prices.
