New Delhi. There is no end to the bomb threats in Delhi, with recent incidents targeting major schools and now even the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI). Authorities are actively investigating each case, including searches of airport premises and hospitals, which have also received threatening emails. What is worrying is that all of these threats came from the same email address, raising concerns about coordinated efforts.
Despite the intensity of the threats, the police investigation has so far yielded no concrete suspects. Notably, the emails sent to both the airport and the hospitals came from the same email ID, adding a layer of complexity to the situation. Despite intensive search operations, no suspicious object or activity has been found at these places.
This is not the first time such threats have been received in Delhi. Earlier, around 150 schools in the Delhi-NCR region had received bomb threat emails, causing widespread panic. However, investigation revealed that those threats were false alarms. This concerns how criminals are using technology, such as using Russian servers to send emails, to carry out such fake threats as in previous incidents targeting schools and even That was seen demanding ransom.
