Ranchi. In the historic Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, which was taken out from Jagannathpur temple in Ranchi on Friday, the public gathered. This is the 334th year of the Rath Yatra in Ranchi on Ashada Shukla Paksha Dwitiya Tithi on the lines of the traditions and beliefs of the Jagannath Temple in Puri, Odisha.
The tradition of Rath Yatra in Ranchi started in 1691. The Deities of Lord Jagannath, sister Subhadra and brother Balabhadra were seated on the chariot at 2.30 pm and after their decoration, the rath yatra started at five in the evening, while the huge fair resonated with the shouts of Swami Jagannath. A large number of devotees pulled the chariot of God to Mausibari about half a kilometer away. God will appear in Mausibari for nine days.
On July 5, the Rath Yatra will return on the date of Harishayani Ekadashi. The huge fair held here will conclude on 6 July. It is estimated that about two lakh people arrived on the first day of the Rath Yatra festival. This Jagannathpur temple in Dhurva of Ranchi city has been famous as the center of Sarvadharma and Sarvaji Samabha.
History suggests that Nagvanshi King Aninath Shahdev of Chotanagpur went to see Lord Jagannath in the Puri temple of Odisha. After returning to fascinated from there, he built this temple on the lines of the same temple on the lines of about two and a half hundred feet high in Ranchi. The structure of Jagannathpur temple in Ranchi is similar to the Jagannath temple at Puri.
The method of worshiping from worship to offering in this temple is similar to the Puri Jagannath temple. There is an indulgence in front of the womb. The first Garuda temple of Bhog Griha is where Garudaji is seated in the middle. There is a watchman temple next to the Garuda temple. These four temples are built together. The temple is constructed by stone pieces with the help of headlines and thin brick has also been used in the construction of Carnish and Shikhar.
On August 6, 1990, the back of the temple collapsed, which was rebuilt and the temple was given a grand appearance in February 1992. This huge temple on the Kalinga style is reconstructed at a cost of about one crore.
The most unique aspect of this temple and the rath yatra here is its arrangement and participation of people of all religions in the event. A tradition of social harmony and all religion equality was started, in which he gave some responsibility to people of every class.
A total of 895 acres of land around the temple was settled to people of all caste-religion. The major responsibility of the temple’s guard was entrusted to the Muslim community. For hundreds of years, he carried out this tradition. For the last few years, the security of the temple is responsible for the trust.
