Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated Khalsa Chowk in Alambagh on Sunday. This intersection known as Tedhi Pulia will now be known as Khalsa Chowk. During this, while congratulating the people, he took a dig at the Iftar party organized in the Chief Minister’s Office during the tenure of the SP government. He said that before him other types of events were organized in the Chief Minister’s Office of Uttar Pradesh. After the formation of the Bharatiya Janata Party government in the state, a grand celebration of the 550th Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji was organized in the Chief Minister’s Office. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was addressing the program organized to commemorate the Jyoti Jyot Diwas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Guru of Sikhism and founder of Khalsa Panth.
He said that Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj had established the Khalsa Panth in 1699 to protect the religion and culture of India from foreign invaders. This sect has always played a leading role in the defense of the motherland. He said that the sacrifice and sacrifice of Sikh Gurus inspires all of us to protect the country and religion. CM Yogi said that the history of Sikh Gurus reminds us of the glorious victory story of India. He paid tribute to the Sikh community’s sacrifice, tradition of sacrifice, dedication to religion and spirit of service towards the society.
The Chief Minister said that in the coming days we will get the opportunity to participate in many programs. The sacred martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji will be celebrated on 24th November, Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji on 27th November on the day of Kartik Purnima and 26th December as Birbal Day. He said that we all should feel proud of our history.
A large number of people from the Sikh community including Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak, Minister of State Parminder Singh, Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, Gurdwara Committee Head Rajendra Singh Bagga, Head Gurdwara Shankarnagar Alambagh Sardar Manmohan Singh Sethi were present in the program.
