Ludhiana Local News: Although the responsibility of the safety of the common man lies with the police, but if the police itself is in danger then who will save it. This is the condition of Punjab Police. Here in Ludhiana, a mob of about 100 people attacked the police station. The mob not only vandalized the police station but also beat up the policemen present there.
This incident happened on Saturday night in Ludhiana. The policemen standing at the checkpost here were checking the vehicles. Then they saw a scooter coming from the front at a high speed. The police stopped the scooter and checked its papers. A shopkeeper was on the scooter with his son. During the checking, the young man driving the scooter started arguing with the policemen. When the argument increased, the policemen brought the father and son to the checkpost. But both the father and son ran away from here.
After some time, the shopkeeper brought a crowd of about 100 people with him and attacked the police post. The crowd vandalized the post and beat up ASI Surinder Singh. Another policeman was seriously injured while being beaten up.
The police is now in a mood of strict action. The shopkeeper and his associates are being identified by examining the footage of CCTV cameras. Police force has been deployed in the entire area as a precaution.
