The second ODI between Sri Lanka and India is today, Team India’s eyes are set on a century of victory, see the playing 11 of both the teams here

New Delhi Today the second match of the three-match ODI series between India and Sri Lanka will be played at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Earlier, the first ODI match between the two teams was a tie. Now both the teams will enter the field with the intention of getting their first win in the second match. So far a total of 169 ODI matches have been played between India and Sri Lanka. In these, the Indian team has won 99 matches, while Sri Lanka has won 57 matches. If the Indian team defeats Sri Lanka today, it will register its 100th win in ODI against Sri Lanka. Apart from this, 11 matches between the two have been inconclusive and 2 tied. Out of 99 wins, India has won 40 matches at home ground, 32 on foreign soil and 27 at neutral venues.

Indian team’s dominance

Looking at the statistics, it is clear that the Indian team has an upper hand against Sri Lanka. In such a situation, Team India is considered a strong contender for victory in today’s match. However, it will be interesting to see which team wins today. In the first ODI played in Colombo, Sri Lanka batted first and scored 230/8 in 50 overs. In response, the Indian team was all out for 230 runs in 47.5 overs. In this way, the scores of both the teams remained equal and the match was tied.

The second match is also in Colombo

The second match of the ODI series between India and Sri Lanka will also be played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. All three matches of the series are being played in Colombo. In the first match, the Colombo pitch proved to be very helpful for the spinners. The fast bowlers also got help in the initial overs, but it was not easy for the batsmen to score runs. Now it will be interesting to see how the pitch is in the second match.
