The peel of raw wood apple is first removed. After that its seeds are removed. Wood apple should be cut into round pieces and boiled in water. After this, prepare sugar syrup. Add citric acid while making syrup. Adding acid does not set the syrup.

Mirchi Lal told that they will put the wood apple in the syrup. This process takes about three days. Wood apple jam is ready in a week. Sodium vengo is added to the jam to prevent it from spoiling. This keeps the wood apple jam safe for many years. He told that it is very beneficial for the stomach. It also cures stomach ailments, weakness and fatigue.
