Nikhil alias Sonunath, the absconding accused after killing his wife Nishu and mother-in-law Jayanti Devi, committed suicide by jumping in front of a train at around 5 am on Tuesday morning in Jaspur, Udhamsinghnagar, Uttarakhand. The police was looking for him. He was identified from the suicide note found with him. Police say that a domestic dispute has come to the fore behind the double murder and suicide. Nikhil was not getting married in the family. He has also mentioned this in the suicide note. Nikhil was a resident of Jaspur. People informed the police as soon as they came to know about him being cut off from the train. When the police contacted the Udhamsinghnagar police, the reason behind the suicide came to light. Udham Singh Nagar SOG in-charge Kamlesh Bhatt told that Sonu was married to Nishu 8 years ago. That was his second marriage. Sonu has 2 sons and a daughter.
After the double murder, on February 27, Sonu left his children with his sister in Amroha. Since then he was absconding. The accused was being searched, but on Tuesday, information was received about his body being found on the railway track in Ghaziabad.
I killed my beloved wife
In the suicide note, Nikhil blamed sister-in-law Pinky for the whole incident. He wrote that it was Pinky who used to say wrong things about him to his wife and mother-in-law. He used to apologize to mother-in-law and wife, still there would be a fight.
All this would not have happened if Pinky had not done this. Finally wrote, Neetu you were my wife and I loved you more than my life and I killed you. I don’t deserve forgiveness. But I am coming to you. If possible, forgive me.
Pinky said, Nikhil had relations with women
Nishu’s maternal uncle is in village Toda Afzal (Thakurdwara). Nikhil has accused his sister-in-law in suicide, she says that Nikhil had relations with many women before marriage.
