Bangladesh Violence: After the change of power and government in Bangladesh, the situation remains delicate. After resigning from the post of Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina also left the country. Currently, Hasina is in India but the system in Bangladesh has completely collapsed. The situation is getting worse and the police system seems to be completely destroyed. Due to the collapse of the police system, anarchy has spread and the banking system has been most affected by this. The cash crisis has increased, all ATMs have been closed because there is a fear of them being looted.
Police stations are dependent on the army
Due to the collapse of the police system, there is such a state of anarchy in Dhaka that no police station seems safe. Now there is neither any file nor any vehicle left in Dhaka’s Mohammadpur police station. The rioters have either destroyed or burnt everything. Here the police stations are now dependent on the army. Whatever crime happens in the city, no case is being registered and no one is getting justice.
The violence continues
Meanwhile, let us also tell you that violence continues even after the formation of interim government in Bangladesh. Protesters have attacked the army in Gopalganj area in which more than five army personnel have been injured. On Saturday, after a fierce clash between army personnel and Awami League supporters, the mob set an army vehicle on fire. About 15 people including army personnel, journalists and local people have been injured in this incident.
Hindus took to the streets
Meanwhile, thousands of people from the minority Hindu community have staged massive protests in Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka and the northeastern port city of Chittagong. They have demanded security amid attacks on temples, their homes and businesses across the country. Those involved in the protest are demanding the establishment of special tribunals to expedite the prosecution of those who persecute minorities, 10 percent parliamentary seats for minorities, implementation of the Minority Protection Act, among others.
