Ingredients for making onion curry
4 small sized onions, 6 big onions, curry leaves, 3 green chillies, half spoon cumin, half spoon mustard, salt as per taste, turmeric, oil 2 spoons, 1 tomato, half cup curd.
Onion curry recipe
To make onion curry, first take 6-7 onions, peel them and wash them with clean water. Now chop these onions very finely. Take 4 small sized onions, peel them and wash them as well. Now turn on the gas and place the pan on it. Keep the gas on medium flame. Now place a pan and add 2 spoons of oil in it. When the oil is hot, fry small sized onions in it until they turn brown. When it turns brown, take it out. Now after that in the next step, keep the pan back on the gas. When the pan gets hot, add 2 spoons of oil in it. When the oil becomes slightly hot, add some curry leaves, half a spoon of mustard seeds, finely chopped chillies and cumin seeds. When it becomes light brown, add finely chopped onion to it. Now cover it with a plate to fry the onion until it turns golden. ,
When the onion turns golden brown, add 1 chopped tomato to it. Now cover the onion curry with a plate and keep it aside. After 5 minutes, remove the plate and add turmeric, salt, half cup curd, 4 browned onions together. Now add half a cup of water to it and cover the vegetable with a plate to cook. Stir the vegetable once again after 7 to 8 minutes. Add Kasuri Methi to it for taste and aroma. Your delicious onion curry is ready. Serve onion vegetable with roti and eat it with relish.
