A case of assault and misconduct has come to light in jail in Saurabh Rajput murder accused Muskan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Chaudhary Charan Singh jail jailer Viresh Raj gave clarification on this. He said that the news of Sahil’s beating in jail is false. Sahil was not beaten nor treated badly. Information department has been informed in this regard.
Sahil asked me to cut my hair, so I cut her hair. Grandma brought her clothes, which she wore after bathing. At present, Sahil is not doing any work in jail, but after completion of 10 days, it can be hired. He has demanded a government lawyer to advocate his case, which will be made available. He did not ask for any book or anything else.
How did you meet your grandmother?
Jail Superintendent Viresh said that Sahil had expressed his desire to meet his grandmother Pushpa Devi. When Pushpa Devi was asked if she wanted to meet Sahil, she agreed. After this, Sahil’s grandmother filled the meeting slip as per rules. Grandma is also part of the family, so it was allowed to meet Dadi. She brought clothes and food for Sahil. In the presence of security personnel, both were allowed to meet for a few minutes. The prison administration cannot make their interaction public, the rules do not allow it.
The jailer said that Sahil and Muskan have been in jail since March 19. He has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days. Both have not yet received any lawyer. No external lawyer is willing to take their case. Therefore, both have demanded a government lawyer. After going to jail, both of them could not get drugs and alcohol, so their condition deteriorated. Therefore, he was admitted to the de -addiction center inside the jail. He was treated there and now both are in good condition. Both have started eating and drinking and their statements will be taken soon and the charge sheet will be produced in the court.
