Weather Update: It seems as if rain has taken a silent stand in North India. However, rain continues to wreak havoc in hilly areas like Uttarakhand and Himachal. While heavy rains caused landslides in Wayanad district of Kerala on Tuesday, flights had to be cancelled due to severe heat in Leh Ladakh. Severe humidity continues to wreak havoc in Delhi and surrounding areas, but the IMD has predicted rain on Wednesday. Light to moderate rain is expected in many areas of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.

Delhi-NCR is facing humidity for the last several days. IMD has predicted moderate to heavy rain in many areas on Wednesday. IMD said that the month of July is likely to end with rain in Delhi. IMD has issued an alert of heavy rain in Delhi NCR for the next three to four days. Therefore, if you are leaving home, then check the traffic route before leaving because the route may be diverted due to waterlogging on many roads. On Wednesday, the maximum temperature of Delhi is likely to be 35 degrees and the minimum temperature is likely to be 28 degrees.

IMD said that there is a risk of heavy rain in Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana, Patiala in Punjab, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Jind, Kaithal, Hisar, Karnal, Ambala, Chandigarh and Delhi/NCR in Haryana, Chandigarh, Bulandshahar, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Aligarh, Agra, Mathura, Moradabad, Hapur, Rampur, Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh. Heavy rain is also expected in the areas around all these districts and adjacent parts of the respective states.

IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over coastal and southern interior Karnataka. At the same time, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh, western Uttar Pradesh, eastern Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra.
