The way for Lucknow Green Corridor is cleared, Army gave 22 hectares of land

The way has been cleared for the construction of a tied and 4-lane road between Pipraghat and Shaheed Path under the Uttar Pradesh News Desk Green Corridor Project. For this, the Army has given permission to give 21.81 hectares of land of the cantonment area to LDA. With its construction, the army officers and common citizens living in the cantonment will also get direct connectivity to and from the airport.

Vice Chairman of Lucknow Development Authority, Prathamesh Kumar said that Part-3 of the Green Corridor Project is to be constructed in the 5.8 km long flood zone on the right bank of the Gomti River between Pipraghat and Shaheed Path. 2.8 km part of Bandhe is falling in the cantonment area. For which approximately 21.81 hectares of military land was required by the authority. On September 23, the project was presented before the Joint Secretary Land and Works in the Military Ministry located in South Block, Delhi. The Defense Ministry has given permission to LDA to construct a dam and 4-lane road on army land. The permission letter from the Ministry was received. In this, some important guidelines have been given by the army. According to this, a dam will be constructed at the site.

Three underpasses will be built: LDA VC said that due to the construction of Bandha, the army land will be divided into two parts. Therefore, the Army had asked to develop 03 underpasses or rotary in Bandhe for internal traffic in the cantonment area.

Excavation of soil not from army land: Along with this, a condition has also been kept that soil for construction of dam will not be excavated from army land. He said that instructions have been given to build three underpasses or rotary.

Barricading arrangement to prevent infiltration

Instructions have been given to include necessary security measures in the construction of 4-lane road by the Army. After the dam is constructed and traffic starts operating on it, there should be arrangements for barricading to ensure that no one enters the cantonment area illegally.

Link will be constructed from corridor to Dilkusha

It has been instructed by the Army that a link will be provided from Green Corridor to Dilkusha for the movement of officers and soldiers living in the cantonment. For which necessary changes have already been made by the authority in the alignment of Bandha.

Construction of a 4-lane road between Pipraghat and Shaheed Path of Green Corridor Project Part-3 will provide better transportation options to the large population.
