A shocking honeytrap case has come to light from Banda in Uttar Pradesh, which has put the police and the general public in a can. A middle -aged man named Dayaram, working as a cleanliness supervisor in Kanpur Municipal Corporation, was implicated by a woman in her love and then kidnapped in a planned manner and looted more than four lakh rupees. The police have arrested four accused, including the woman in the case, while one of the accused is still absconding.
How was the honeytrap network created?
Dayaram lives in a rented house in Kanpur. Pintu, a resident of Chilla in Banda, lived with his alleged wife Mona in the same house. Meanwhile, the acquaintance between Mona and Dayaram increased and then gradually the conversation started. Mona trapped Dayaram in his trap with his sweet talk and love.
On 11 July, Mona called Dayaram and called him to Fatehpur. Trusting, Dayaram reached there, but he had no idea that he was going to be a victim of a big conspiracy.
Looted on the strength of the gun
On reaching Fatehpur, five people, including Mona and her companions – Pintu, kidnapped Dayaram and forcibly took the Chilla area of Banda. There he was taken hostage in a room. The accused looted his gold chain, ring and cash on Dayaram by staring at Dayaram. After this, he got him transferred about 3 lakh rupees to his accounts through UPI. Some money was also withdrawn through ATMs.
Police action and recovery
Dayaram somehow left and reached the police and heard the tragedy. In view of the seriousness of the case, Chilla police station and Banda police immediately started raids. Four people, including the woman Mona, were arrested in this action. The search for another accused continues.
Giving information, Additional Superintendent of Police of Banda, Shivraj said that Dayaram’s gold chain, ring and Rs 3 lakh 69 thousand cash have been recovered from the accused. Further action is being taken by registering a case under sections like robbery, kidnapping and threatening on the accused.
