There were frequent quarrels between the two about this matter. The incident took place at Shalini Maidan in Jayanagar on Saturday. The police have identified the deceased as Farida Khanam (42) of Kolkata, who lived in a lodge.

Police officials said that they have arrested a person named Girish (32) on the charge of murder. He said that Farida used to work in a spa and Girish was an employee in a private company. Officials said that both were friends. He said that Girish was unhappy with the nature of Farida’s work and was forcing him to quit his job, causing quarrels between him.
Lover committed suicide by hanging himself
Officials said that the dispute between the two started on this issue on Saturday. The quarrel grew so much that Girish attacked Farida with a knife. Girish beat Farida several times. Police officials said some people saw Farida soaked in blood and took him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Officials said that this seems to be a case of pre-determined murder as the accused had a knife. He said that the matter is being investigated.
