Lok Sabha Election Result 2024: The countdown for the results of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, which lasted for about two months, has begun. By noon on June 4, the political picture of India will be clear as to who will sit on the throne of the Prime Minister. However, the exit polls have again said that the BJP will return to power. But who knows what the voter has in his mind. But certainly this time the election results will be absolutely surprising. After these elections, by-elections will be held in many places within six months. Because in many places MLAs have contested the Lok Sabha elections. If these MLAs are elected MPs, then elections will be held again on their assembly seats.
But there is one Lok Sabha seat in the country where if the Bharatiya Janata Party wins, a by-election will be held on that seat again. This may sound strange, but it is absolutely true.
We are talking about Moradabad seat of Uttar Pradesh. Moradabad is also called Brass City. Voting was held here on 19 April in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections. BJP had given ticket to Kunwar Sarvesh Kumar Singh on Moradabad seat. Samajwadi Party had fielded Ruchi Veera against him and Bahujan Samaj Party had fielded Irfan Saifi. 62.18 percent voting took place on Moradabad Lok Sabha seat. Now the matter is that if Kunwar Sarvesh Kumar Singh wins the election from here, then re-election will be held on this seat. If the candidate of any party other than BJP wins the election, then this will not happen.
The reason for this is that on 20 April, just a day after the voting on 19 April, BJP candidate Sarvesh Kumar Singh died. 71-year-old Sarvesh Kumar Singh was suffering from cancer. He breathed his last in AIIMS, Delhi.
However, the same thing applies to Rahul Gandhi’s Wayanad and Rae Bareli seats. If Rahul Gandhi wins both these seats, he will have to leave one seat and whichever seat Rahul Gandhi leaves, elections will have to be held again within six months.
Political journey of Sarvesh Kumar Singh
Talking about Sarvesh Kumar Singh’s political journey, he was first elected MLA from Thakurdwara assembly seat of Uttar Pradesh on a BJP ticket in 1991. After this, he won the MLA post continuously in 1993, 1996 and 2002. Sarvesh Kumar Singh’s son Sushant Singh is a BJP MLA from Badhapur assembly seat of Bijnor.
Kunwar Sarvesh Kumar Singh contested four times from Moradabad Lok Sabha seat on the lotus symbol. In 2009, he faced Congress candidate and cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin. Congress won that election. In the 2009 elections, 54.80 percent voting took place. Azharuddin got 39.59 percent i.e. 3,01,283 votes. BSP came third and Samajwadi Party came fourth.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP once again fielded Kunwar Sarvesh Singh. This time he was pitted against ST Hasan of Samajwadi Party. In this election, 63.66 percent voting took place and Sarvesh Singh won with 43.01 percent votes (485,224). Begum Noor Bano of Congress remained at 5th place with just 19,731 votes.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Sarvesh Kumar Singh was defeated by ST Hasan of the Samajwadi Party. 12,82,265 votes were cast in Moradabad seat with 65.46 percent polling. ST Hasan of the Samajwadi Party won by a margin of 98,122. He got 50.56 percent i.e. 6,49,538 votes. BJP’s Kunwar Sarvesh, who came second, got 5,51,416 votes.
Talking about the assembly seats of Moradabad Lok Sabha constituency, there are 5 seats here – Kanth, Thakurdwara, Moradabad Rural, Moradabad Nagar and Badhapur. Out of these, Badhapur and Moradabad Nagar are occupied by BJP and the other three are occupied by Samajwadi Party.
