Delhi: Several major shopping malls in the national capital received bomb threats on Tuesday. According to Delhi Police, Chanakya Mall, Select Citywalk, Ambience Mall, DLF Mall, Cinepolis, Pacific Mall, Primus Hospital, and Unity Group received threatening emails which said, “Explosive material will explode in a few hours.” The mall authorities immediately shared the information with the police, following which the Delhi Police launched a swift investigation. Bomb squads and fire tenders have been called to the spot. No bomb has been recovered yet.
The time of the attack was not mentioned in the email
A senior Delhi Police official said that preliminary investigation has revealed that no deadline has been mentioned in the threatening email. This email has been sent to many malls and other establishments. The police is seriously investigating the matter and more information is awaited.

Threat was also received on 17 August
It is worth noting that on August 17, a bomb threat was also received at Ambience Mall in Gurugram. However, no suspicious object was found during the search. The management of Ambience Mall received this threat through email, after which the bomb squad, dog squad, and SWAT team reached the spot. Nothing suspicious was found during the investigation.
The school received threats on August 2
A school located in Greater Kailash area of Delhi received a threatening email on August 2, in which it was said that the school would be blown up with a bomb. However, after investigation, no explosive material was found. Gurugram Police has warned that if anyone tries to spread bomb threats through social media or email, strict legal action will be taken against him.
