The 50th match of IPL 2024 is being played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals. In this match, Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins won the toss and decided to bat first. Hyderabad gave Rajasthan a target of 202 runs to win. But there was a lot of uproar when Travis Head was not out in the match. Its video is going viral on social media.
Umpire gave head not out
Avesh Khan bowled the 15th over of Sunrisers Hyderabad’s innings. Travis Head wanted to hit a big stroke on the third ball of this over. For this he came out of the crease, but there was no contact between the ball and the bat. Then Sanju Samson threw the ball towards the striker end and the ball hit the stumps. It was a close affair. So it went to the third umpire to decide whether out or not out. Then the umpire gave Travis Head not out. Whereas looking at the replays it was clear that Head’s bat was in the air till the stump light came on. Rajasthan players were hopeful that Head was out. But he was disappointed with the umpire’s decision.
Kumar Sangakkara got angry
After this, Rajasthan Royals coach and director Kumar Sangakkara was seen arguing with the umpire. It seemed that he was not at all happy with the umpire’s decision. After this, Travis Head was clean bowled on the next ball. In this way Avesh Khan got his wicket.
Travis Head scored a half century
Travis Head batted brilliantly against Rajasthan Royals. He scored 58 runs in 44 balls, which included 6 fours and three sixes. Apart from him, Nitish Kumar Reddy scored 76 runs in 42 balls. It was because of these players that Hyderabad team was able to score 201 runs in 20 overs. Avesh Khan took maximum 2 wickets for Rajasthan Royals. Sandeep Sharma took one wicket.
