Jaipur. Once again there seems to be a ruckus in the Rajasthan Congress. This time the reason is becoming close to Sachin Pilot. In the Ashok Gehlot government, Rajendra Gudha, a minister close to Pilot, has put forth a new demand. Gudha has demanded to convene a meeting of the legislature party. He says that the Congress high command should take a decision soon on changing the Chief Minister in Rajasthan. Rajendra Gudha has also demanded that in the past, action should be taken against those demanding to retain Gehlot as CM or to make a new CM from among his close ones. For this, he has also demanded the sacking of ministers Shanti Dhariwal, Mahesh Joshi and Dharmendra Rathod.
Rajendra Gudha has also given a statement for the new Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. Gudha has said that Kharge should take steps on all these matters and give a message that decision is being taken in Congress. This demand of Gudha is important, because till now Sachin Pilot has not said anything openly in the rar of Rajasthan Congress. Assembly elections are also due in Rajasthan next year. In such a situation, it seems from the demand of Rajendra Gudha that the Sachin Pilot camp is working on a new strategy to put pressure on the high command against Gehlot before the elections.
Let us inform that in the past, when there was talk of Ashok Gehlot contesting the election of Congress President, then Congress President Sonia Gandhi had sent Mallikarjun Kharge and Ashok Maken to Jaipur. Both the leaders had called a meeting of the legislature party, but Shanti Dhariwal and other ministers and MLAs held a separate meeting and demanded that Gehlot be retained as the CM or any of his supporters as the new CM. These supporters of Gehlot had clearly said that any attempt to make Sachin Pilot, who rebelled against the party, would be opposed. Even the pro-Gehlot MLAs went to the Speaker CP Joshi and gave a copy of the mass resignation.
