New Delhi. In India’s first match of the World Cup 2024, Rohit Sharma and company won the toss against Ireland and bowled first. The magic of Indian bowler Arshdeep Singh, who was unaware of the pitch of Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, was seen in this match. He gave Team India a strong start by dismissing two batsmen in the same over. The Ireland batsmen were seen struggling in front of Arshdeep’s bowling. On the first ball of the third over, Arshdeep first dismissed Ireland captain Paul Stirling. Then he dismissed the second opener Andrew Balbirnie in a dashing manner.
Arshdeep started the Indian bowling and conceded only three runs in the first over. After this, he again came on the bowling attack in the third over. On the very first ball, he got Paul Stirling caught out by Rishabh Pant behind the wicket. Then on the last ball of the same over, he blew Andrew Balbirnie away. Balbirnie could not read the ball at all. He just kept struggling to make contact between the ball and the bat, and in the meantime the ball scattered the stumps.
