New Delhi. According to the forecasts of the Meteorological Department, the southwest monsoon has started engulfing various parts of the country. The weather in North and East India, which is facing severe heat, is gradually becoming monsoonal. Clouds have started camping in states like Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand. Torrential rains have been recorded in some of these states. Most of the states in South India have been receiving heavy to very heavy rainfall for the last several days. Apart from this, there is continuous heavy rain in West and Northeast India as well. Due to this, normal life has been disrupted. In many states of Northeast, even the roads have been destroyed.
IMD has also issued an alert regarding the weather of Delhi NCR. According to meteorologists, heavy (64.5-115.5 mm) to very heavy rain (115.5-204.4 mm) may occur in some areas of Delhi and NCR on 29 and 30 June 2024. An orange alert has been issued for Delhi NCR. Along with Delhi and surrounding areas, heavy rains are also expected in Haryana and Chandigarh. The weather took a turn in Delhi-NCR on Wednesday and Thursday. This has brought relief from the scorching heat to the people living in the national capital and adjoining areas. Let us tell you that the people of Delhi and its adjoining areas were facing severe heat for the last several weeks. People have breathed a sigh of relief due to the change in weather. Now the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of monsoon becoming active strongly in the coming time.

Torrential rain in Rajasthan-Gujarat
The Meteorological Department has already predicted more than average rainfall this monsoon. Its effect is now visible. Heavy rains occurred in many districts of Rajasthan on Thursday. Due to this, a drop in temperature has been recorded. Heavy rains have also been recorded in Gujarat and Daman-Diu. Due to torrential rains, waterlogging has occurred at many places in Rajasthan. Apart from this, good rains have also occurred in Valsad, Gujarat. Let us tell you that Gujarat and Rajasthan were experiencing scorching heat for the last few days.
Chaos from South to Northeast
Monsoon was first active in South India. Due to this, heavy to very heavy rains were recorded in many areas of Kerala as well as Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. IMD has issued an alert for most of the districts of Kerala. At the same time, heavy rains are expected in many areas of Karnataka as well. The Meteorological Department has also issued a heavy rain alert for Goa and Konkan. On the other hand, most of the states of Northeast India have been receiving heavy rains for several days. Normal life has been disrupted due to heavy rains.
